Career Development Facilitator (CDF) Training
The Career Development Facilitator Training Program provides a comprehensive foundation in helping skills, career development theory, assessments, labor market information, job seeking and employability coaching, and program design. Through instructor-led sessions, applied activities, and real-world practice, participants develop the skills to guide individuals in making informed career decisions and navigating today’s workforce demands. Upon completion, participants are equipped to deliver effective career services within education, workforce development, community agencies, and HR settings, and are eligible to apply for the NCDA CCSP or CCE GCDF credential.

Eligibility:
This course is open to anyone interested in learning how to support career planning and workforce readiness. No prior credential or experience is required. Completion of the course fulfills the training requirement to apply for the NCDA Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) or the CCE Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential. Additional requirements, such as supervised experience and application fees, are determined by the certifying organizations. Some employers may require one of these credentials for specific career services positions.
Prerequisites:
No prior experience in counseling, education, or workforce development is required. This course is open to all participants interested in providing career development support.

Certification Notes:
Completion of the program meets the training requirement to apply for the NCDA CCSP or CCE GCDF credential. Applicants must meet additional certification requirements established by NCDA and CCE, which may include supervised hours and application fees. Certain employers may require one of these credentials to perform career development duties.

Requirements for NCDA CCSP Certification:
  • Complete 120 hours, including 24 live (virtual of face-to-face) hours, of instruction by an approved instructor
  • Provide NCDA with required demographic information
  • Upload your Certificate of Completion from NCDA’s Facilitating Career Development (FCD) training (provided by the instructor with successful completion of this course)
