The Coding Specialist Program
Part 1 is needed to enter
Part 2 of the Coding Specialist program. All courses run consecutively in the schedule.
Part I prerequisite courses
are not Scholarship-eligible
. All 3 courses must be taken in this order, each course builds on the last:
- Medical terminology
- Patho-pharmacology
- Healthcare data & EHR(electronic health records)
Requirements: Students must have daily access to a
computer with high-speed internet access, a webcam, and microphone.
Using a phone or any mobile device to complete a course is not recommended or reliable. Online orientation is held on the start date.
To Register; students can self register 60 days before the start date. Registration closes 1 week before the start date.

- Online e-books are used in all courses in Part 1 and Part 2 of the Coding Specialist program. Students will purchase the Cengage Unlimited 12-month access card, available at the TTC Bookstore, bldg 950, approximate price $307 or directly from https://www.cengage.com/instructors/unlimited/ the price is $230. Do not activate the 12-month access until the course start date. Some courses require other e-books, see Healthcare Data, and I-10CM Coding for those additional e-books.
